URA-UMA Duty Remission Workshop

DUTY REMISSION SCHEME SENSITIZATION WORKSHOP
Uganda Manufacturers Association(UMA) in partnership with the Uganda Revenue Authority have organized a half day duty remission scheme workshop. The purpose of this is to ascertain the attendance of members for the duty remission workshop organized by the on Wednesday 30th April, 2025, in the UMA Multipurpose Hall in Lugogo from 9:00a.m to 1:45 p.m.
The workshop aims at improving the following;
1) Provide manufacturers with the necessary information and guidance on accessing and utilizing the duty remission scheme.
2) Promote industrialization by making it affordable to import raw materials at reduced tariffs.
3) Reduce the tax burden for the manufacturers.
4) Enhance competitiveness through low production costs.
5) Increase export growth by making locally manufactured goods more competitive internationally.
