UMA-UNDP Consultative Meeting

The Chairman of the Uganda Manufacturers Association (UMA) and board members recently met with Madan, the Resident Representative of UNDP Uganda, to discuss potential partnerships aimed at advancing development and improving the quality of life for the people of Uganda. This collaborative meeting was filled with productive discussions on aligning efforts, resources, and expertise to address critical social and economic challenges facing Ugandan communities.

Both UMA and UNDP Uganda bring unique strengths to the table: UMA with its deep connections to the manufacturing sector and commitment to industrial growth, and UNDP Uganda with its extensive experience in implementing impactful development programs. Together, they explored how joint initiatives could enhance sustainable development, drive industrialization, and uplift vulnerable populations through increased employment and improved access to goods and services.

The meeting reinforced the shared vision of a prosperous, inclusive Uganda where public and private sectors unite for a common goal: sustainable development that leaves no one behind. Through these promising discussions, UMA and UNDP Uganda laid the foundation for a partnership that promises to drive real change, creating a brighter, more resilient future for the people of Uganda.
