PROVISION OF STARTUP KITS FOR BUILDING CONSTRUCTION, TAILORING, MOTORCYCLE MECHANICS AND AGROFORESTRY FOR ENABEL SKILLS DEVELOPMENT PROJECT IN KARAMOJA REGIONDated: 1st February 2023
Uganda Manufacturers Association in partnership with Moroto Technical Institute (MTl) through the Support to Skilling Uganda project, is implementing a project entitled “Marketable Green Skills and Business Mentorship for Youth in Karamoja Region“. The project which skilled Karamajong youth and women in 4 selected trades i.e., agro-forestry, motorcycle mechanics, tailoring and building construction is funded by Enabel. As part of their requirement for the project the trainees have to be supplied with startup kits.
This is to invite capable vendors to supply startup kits for 84 trainees. The following are the key guidelines acceptable for vendors interested in expressing interest to supplying startup kits to UMA
- The vendor should have a registered company, licensed to conduct business in the supply of startup kits. If it is a Sole Proprietor, then the owner should have a TIN for the purpose of submitting mandatory 6% WHT and the business should have a valid trading license.
- The Company or the Sole Proprietor must have company/sole Proprietor bank account in the name of the Company/Sole Proprietor.
- The company must be VAT/ EFRIS registered with Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) and having a valid Tax Identification Number (TIN) and will have to provide EFRIS invoices before payment is effected.
SCOPE OF WORK.
- Supply of startup kits for building construction, tailoring, motorcycle mechanics, and agroforestry.
SUBMISSION OF QUOTATIONS
Interested parties are requested to:
- Pick Request for Quotation (RFQ) and bid forms from Uganda Manufacturers Association (UMA) Head Office Lugogo Show Ground Kampala and
- Pay 100,000UGX non-refund fee to the Finance Office Uganda Manufacturers Association.
- Fill the bid form and deliver the bid documents (filled form, receipt of bidding fees and quotations with clear reference number of the RFQs, together with photocopies of your business Trading Licenses.) addressed to Uganda Manufacturers Association not later than 4pm Friday 25th February 2023.
- Late submissions will not be accepted. Upon closure date UMA will screen the bids and only successful bidders shall be contacted.
