Event title EAC Common Market Negotiations- Consultative Meeting
Where: Kampala, Uganda - Kampala
Category: Meeting

Event description:
Liberalsation of services consultative meeting

The high level task force negotiating the EAC Common Market Protocol decided at its meeting in Zanzibar to commission studies to provide better and detailed information on the state of EACs Trade in Services. These studies when completed will inform the negotiations of the Common Market Protocol provision on Progressive liberalization of Trade in Services.

A consultant has been engaged to undertake an analysis of the state of Trade in Services in Uganda.

It is clear that we manufacturers are consumers of services and any attempt to protect some of them might lead to the escalation of the cost of doing of business in Uganda.

This is therefore to invite you to attend the half day workshop aimed at collecting stakeholders input in the national paper on state of Uganda’s Trade in Services

I look forward to seeing you at Hotel Africana 12th January 2009 Monday at 9.00am
